The ACCP Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 04-2720360), is the charitable arm of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP). The Foundation's missionis to improve human health by supporting and disseminating pharmacotherapeutic and clinical pharmacy research, scholarship, and practice innovation.
The ACCP Foundation’s ongoing initiatives include:
Developing Investigators: The Foundation delivers one-of-a-kind investigator development programs: Focused Investigator Training (FIT) for investigators ready to take necessary steps toward maximizing the competitiveness of a K, R01, or similar investigator-initiated application for submission to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other major funding source. Mentored Research Investigator Training (MeRIT) is designed to assist pharmacists with developing the abilities necessary to conduct investigator-initiated research, either independently as a principal investigator or as an active co-investigator within a research team.
Funding Research: ACCP Foundation Futures Grants support the development of research skills among student, trainee, and early-career practitioners with a goal of establishing sustained interest and careers in pharmacy research.
Disseminating Research Results: The Foundation provides ACCP members with full-text access to ACCP’s official journals, Pharmacotherapy and the Journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Their distinct scopes provide a home for clinical pharmacology and pharmacy practice research and reviews.
