Advancement of science and healthcare through research, especially along with engaging and promoting the role of the clinical pharmacist in research, is woefully underfunded and even more poorly recognized by government and foundations that fund such research. I desire to enhance the role of clinical pharmacy in the study of pharmacotherapeutic care (efficacy and safety).

It is certainly a great honor to be inducted into the Frontiers Fund Legacy Society. Choosing to invest in the Research Institute was a “no-brainer” and the investment has certainly paid off for participating pharmacists and the profession in general. We must continue to emphasize high-quality research as an important component of the profession’s overall contribution to society, as well as the advancement of individual careers.
